Front of House Manager (full-time, 38 hours per week)

 

We are looking for an experienced full-time front-of-house manager for our Bistro and Herberg-Restaurant. The oldest and newest restaurant in Hilversum, located on the cosiest square in Hilversum, Weversplein.

We value a relaxed, informal atmosphere where everyone can be themselves and have a laugh. We have a young, talented team that needs a manager who can take a hit and deal with baggage.

 

What do you do as a Front of House Manager?

You will work with the owner to manage, train and maintain the entire service staff.

You will manage the shift managers, together with the owner.

The owner takes care of schedules and the labour-intensive scheduling tasks. Your task is absenteeism, correction and light administrative tasks.

You will fully participate on the floor.

You are the one who ensures order and tidiness in the restaurant and bar. You don’t just see, you act.

Together with the owner, you are responsible for the correctness of orders and stock.

You are ultimately responsible for the training of the staff in the restaurant and you manage the shift managers to achieve the training objective.

You detect and collect points where the restaurant can be improved.

 

Who are you?
  • Full-time availability from Monday to Sunday, 12:00 to 0:00 (Schedule within these times)
  • Hospitable, flexible, team player and patient
  • You speak Dutch and English
  • You have at least 3 years of experience in a restaurant/bar in a similar position
  • Hotel school is a plus

 

We offer
  • 4 or 5-day working week of 38 hours per week (minimum 2 weekends per month)
  • Depending on experience, the minimum starting salary is 2750 gross per month for 38 hours per week.
  • Travel allowance if you come from outside Hilversum
  • 8% of your salary as holiday allowance in June

All-Round Employee (minimum 6 hours per week, maximum 38 hours per week)

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic, spontaneous, and presentable All-Round Employee for our Bistro and Inn-Restaurant. The oldest and newest restaurant in Hilversum, located on Weversplein.

Do you have experience in the kitchen as a kitchen assistant and experience in the service industry? Or would you like to learn both? Then we are looking for you. We offer you a challenging and varied job, where you can be in the kitchen one day and on the floor the next. Sometimes even both in 1 day. Does that appeal to you?

A relaxed, informal atmosphere is very important to us, where everyone can be themselves and make a joke. We have a pleasant, young, and talented team. Do you feel at home in that?

 

What do you do as an All-Round Employee?
  • You work in the service under the shift manager

  • You work in the kitchen under the Head Chef or the Sous-chef

 

Who are you?

Shift Manager (Minimum 12 hours per week, maximum 38 hours per week)

 

We are looking for an experienced shift manager for our Bistro and Inn-Restaurant. The oldest and newest restaurant in Hilversum, located on Weversplein.

We value a relaxed, yet professional atmosphere where everyone can be themselves and have a laugh. We have a friendly, young, and talented team that needs a shift manager.

 

What do you do as a shift manager?

You lead the shift when the owner or Front of House manager is not present, otherwise you manage the team under the direction of the owner or the FOH manager.

You are responsible for opening and closing, including opening and closing the till.

You will fully participate on the floor.

You are the one who ensures order and tidiness in the restaurant and bar. You don’t just see, you act.

You are responsible for the quality, experience and atmosphere during the shift.

Under the direction of the Front of House manager or the owner, you train the staff.

 

Who are you?
  • Available Monday to Sunday from 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM (Schedule within these times)
  • Hospitable, flexible, team player and patient
  • You speak Dutch and English
  • You have at least 1 year of experience in a restaurant/bar in a similar position

You don’t necessarily need experience. If you enjoy the hospitality industry and want to give it a try, you are also welcome.

  • You work in the service under the shift manager
  • You work in the section, on the floor, or at the bar during your shift
  • You keep the restaurant clean and tidy
  • You chat with our guests and contribute to their experience
